Vidal Rodriguez

Biography

Mr. Vidal Rodriguez, GG-14, is the Cyber Innovation Liaison for the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division, Command, Control, Communications, Information and Networks, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, with operations located at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, Texas. He is responsible for external collaboration with Industry, other Government Agency, and Academia in support of identification of relevant cyber technologies to support the 24th AF cyber operations.  Mr. Rodriguez works with program offices in Defensive, Offensive and Command and Control Situation Awareness on current cyber technology needs and future cyber capabilities.

Mr. Rodriguez began his Department of Defense civil servant career in January 1988 as a software developer for Automated Test Equipment in support of San Antonio Air Logistics Center.  He joined the Cryptologic Systems Group in 1996 in the Maintenance Directorate providing software systems development.  In 2005, he moved to the Information Assurance Directorate where he evolved into a Subject Matter Expert on Cross Domain Solutions.  In 2013, he was named Chief of the Cyber Solution Cell in support of the 24th AF operations.  In 2018, he has been named the Cyber Liaison for the Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division for external collaboration in innovations.
