New York University
Shoshanna Levine, DrPH is the Program Director for the City Health Dashboard initiative in the Department of Population Health at the NYU School of Medicine. This online tool equips the 500 largest U.S. cities with a one-stop resource allowing users to view and compare data from multiple sources on health and the factors that shape health to guide local solutions that create healthier and more equitable communities. Previously, she worked with the Healthy Neighborhoods Equity Fund building the health, social, environmental, and economic case for community development in 9 historically under-resourced Boston-area neighborhoods. As Clinical Quality Improvement Program Manager at the Community Health Care Association of New York State, she provided technical assistance for systems change projects around cancer screening, childhood obesity, mental health, and other health issues to community health centers in underserved areas across New York State. Shoshanna received her MPH in Health Promotion from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in 2012 and her DrPH from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in May 2018. Her doctoral studies focused on the intersection of health and social policy in cities, looking at how the City Health Dashboard has allowed local leaders in 4 cities to use data to improve the health of their communities.
