Biography

Ms. Naramore is a business leader bringing applied technology and developmental science to bear to advance the missions of public sector institutions. At MITRE, she is relied upon as a pathfinder for new business models and collaborative relationships. She amplifies MITRE’s impact  through strategies to expand and strengthen partnerships and activates MITRE programs in emerging technology for consumer safety, civilian space, climate resiliency and population well-being topics. She coaches technical teams on operationally efficient and politically feasible approaches. Laura serves as an advisor to the Chief Executive Officer.  Learn more at www.mitre.org.

Previous MITRE roles include senior strategy advisor to the CEO, portfolio manager for troubled federal health programs and Chief of Staff. She served the State of Virginia Research Investment Committee as an advisor on policies to increase in-bound venture capital funding for new business creation and served as a start-up grant evaluator for the US Department of Commerce Minority Business Development Agency.

At MITRE, she has accepted the Catalyst Award for Development and Deployment of Engineering Quality Programs Officer Award for Technical Leadership and Engineering Excellence, the Officer Award for Transformational Solutions, the Directors Award for Outstanding Contributions and the Center for Connected Government Award for Delivering Customer Impact.

An alumna of Columbia University (AB), Yale University (MFA), and George Washington University (MSc), Laura has also earned certificates from post-graduate strategy programs at Stanford Graduate School of Business and Chicago Booth School of Business.
