Joey Pace

Youth Success Director

Denver, CO, Office of Children’s Affairs

Joey Pace has been the Youth Success Director with the City and County of Denver’s Office of Children’s Affairs since June 2014.  My role consists of working to assure all youth in Denver have what they need to succeed. This includes working to reduce the number of opportunity youth in Denver. I serve on the My Brother’s Keeper Denver Leadership Team in our office which works to improve outcomes for boys and young men of color in Denver. I also convene the Denver Mayor’s Youth Commission. It is critical there is  intentionality in having authentic youth voice present in order to create a city where all youth feel heard and represented.  Prior to coming over to the City and County of Denver, I was the Site Director for the Cole Boys & Girls Club at Cole Arts & Science Academy in Near Northeast Denver for 6 plus years.  I worked 9 years as a site director for a youth outreach program in my home state of Mississippi prior to moving to Colorado.  While in Colorado I earned a Master’s of Theological Studies with a concentration in justice and peace studies from Iliff School of Theology.
