Biography
Since 2010, Danica Lee has overseen the world’s first marijuana health inspection program at Denver’s local public health department. Her team has established worker safety protocols for their staff in marijuana facilities, identified consumer protection hazards such as pesticide and microbial contamination of marijuana products, issued numerous product recalls and consumer advisories, and worked with the Rocky Mountain Poison and Drug Center to establish the first marijuana health & safety hotline. Her team has also provided the first regulation of hemp-derived consumable products in Colorado.
