Cooper Martin

Biography

Cooper Martin is the Program Director for the Sustainable Cities Institute at the National League of Cities. Cities are on the front lines in the effort to stop climate change, and in this role he works with mayors, councilmembers, and other local officials to ensure all residents enjoy clean air, clean water, and clean land.

Cooper has over 10 years of experience in policy development, program management, and research. Prior to joining the NLC, he held multiple positions in government and community relations at the American Institute of Architects, and worked one legislative session in the Kansas House of Representatives. Cooper’s educational background includes a BA in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Kansas and a Masters in Public Policy from American University.
