Chief Engineer, Model Based Analytics
Christopher Teixeira has over 10 years of expertise in using data to support decision making for federal agencies. He provides expertise in the areas of statistics, modeling and simulation, and data visualization across a variety of domains. He is currently leading the State Engagement to Address Opioid Overprescribing and Misuse project that is piloting a set of analytics and interactive data visualizations to understand and intervene around potential opioid overprescribing. During his tenure at MITRE, he has supported multiple federally funded research and development centers across a variety of projects, such as supporting the Department of Energy in understanding how to safely and effectively treat nuclear waste, understanding how predictive analytics can support child welfare agencies, and helping the Veterans Benefits Administration use sophisticated modeling techniques to better serve veterans. He earned an M. S. in operations research from George Mason University and a B.S. in mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Learn more at www.mitre.org
