Amanda Klimek

Survey Statistician

American Community Survey Office at the U.S. Census Bureau


Amanda Klimek is a Survey Statistician in the American Community Survey Office at the United States Census Bureau. She is enthusiastic about data-driven public affairs solutions.  Previously, Amanda worked in the Social, Economic, and Housing Statistics Division (SEHSD) at Census as a Subject Matter Expert on housing statistics. While in SEHSD, she reviewed Census data and collaborated with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to conduct research on methods to improve housing data quality and reduce respondent burden in the ACS. Before coming to Census, Amanda worked as a Planning Consultant at Urban Design Ventures in Pittsburgh, PA where she leveraged Census Bureau data to develop applications for Community Development Block Grants from HUD on behalf of local governments. Amanda received her master’s in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.
