Alex Schlichting is a power and energy systems researcher and research project leader working with MITRE’s federal government sponsors to understand and adapt a wide range of technology solutions. In addition to developing climate resilience investment decision-support tools, he has experience with the energy-water nexus, natural disaster threats on healthcare infrastructure, and the application of AI algorithms and Human-Machine Teaming cognitive science research to decision-support tools. He has a Ph.D. and M.S. from Cornell University and a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University, each in Mechanical Engineering. Learn more at
