The Afterschool Policy Advisors’ Network (APAN) luncheon meeting is an opportunity for municipal leaders to access policy updates, research, best practices, and funding information to strengthen, expand, and coordinate afterschool and summer opportunities in their cities, as well as hear from peer city officials who have made expanded learning a priority in their communities. This year’s luncheon speakers will describe their business partnership to promote the benefits of summer learning. NLC’s Institute for Youth, Education, and Families will facilitate a peer learning discussion about city strategies to engage businesses to support local afterschool and summer efforts. Participants will receive the latest resources on afterschool, summer, and social and emotional learning from The Wallace Foundation. A free non-ticketed hot lunch buffet will be provided, but space is limited and elected officials on the RSVP list get first priority. Register here to attend.
