Youth Delegate Workshop: The Power of Youth Voice
Throughout our country’s history, youth have made change by speaking up, educating and organizing their peers, and advocating to adults in the political system. Hear about powerful examples of youth taking the lead to create change based on their own personal experiences and their unique understanding of American history.

Youth Chaperone Workshop: Update on Youth Councils Across the U.S.

Youth Delegates attend conference workshops

Youth Delegate Workshop: Building Confidence in Your Power to Create Change
Build confidence in your ability to create change through interactive, skill-building activities and constructive feedback. Apply lessons from earlier youth delegate workshops to your own goals to create change using your story and politically-savvy advocacy.

5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
Youth Social at Lucky Strike @ L.A. Live featuring bowling and a DJ. Dinner served. Buses return Youth Delegates to conference hotels after the event.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10, 2018

9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Youth Delegate Workshop: Equitable System Building (Part 1)
Historic inequities in systems affect the everyday lives of youth in ways that may be “hidden in plain sight.” This workshop will highlight a concrete example relevant across the country and provide youth with an opportunity to develop strategies and skills to build more equitable systems in their cities.

10:45 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.
Youth Delegate Workshop: Equitable System Building Part 2
Youth will interact with college students to learn how they stay civically engaged after high school and how their college studies and activities will prepare them for careers in the future.

12:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.
Closing General Session and Delegates Luncheon
